Critical Rules for Government Exam Photo Approval

1. Strict Face Proportions

Your face (from crown of hair to chin) must cover 75% to 80% of the photograph area. Avoid distant wide-angle headshots.

2. Plain White Background

Use a solid, uniform white or light off-white background without shadows, textures, or outdoor scenery.

3. Date & Name Placement

For UPSC and NEET, the date must reflect when the photo was taken (not exam application date) and must be within the last 10 days of notification.
